The Tomei forged billet full counterweight crankshaft is engineered to provide increased displacement and structural integrity for the Nissan RB26DETT engine. By providing a 77.7mm stroke, this crankshaft delivers a 4.0mm increase over the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) stroke, making it a critical component for 2.8L displacement upgrades. Crafted from high-strength 4340 forged billet steel, this crankshaft features a full (12) counterweight design that minimizes vibration and improves rotating assembly stability. The surface is treated with a specialized nitriding process, ensuring it can withstand the extreme internal stresses found in high-horsepower, track-focused, or performance-street Nissan Skyline GT-R (R32, R33, R34) builds. Professional installation is required for this component, as it involves internal engine assembly. Given the precision nature of this crankshaft and the performance requirements of the RB26DETT, installation must be performed by specially trained mechanics using appropriate measuring tools to ensure proper clearances during the engine build process.
