Forged Connecting Rods

The Integrated Engineering H beam connecting rods are engineered for high-performance applications in VW/Audi FSI 2.0T engines, offering exceptional strength and reliability. These rods are crafted from vacuum-drawn 4340 Chrome Moly steel using a two-piece forging process, which enhances fatigue life. The material undergoes a multi-stage heat treatment to achieve maximum strength, dimensional stability, and extended fatigue life, ensuring the big end bores remain round for years of trouble-free bearing service. These connecting rods feature an H beam design, optimized using modern CAD drafting and FEA analysis techniques to balance strength with a light weight, making them ideal for powerful, high-RPM European applications. Each set is finish machined and honed in the USA to ensure perfectly round and on-size big-end bores, contributing to industry-low failure rates. They include standard ARP 2000 rod bolts and offer generous wrist pin oiling. An optional rifle drilling is available for enhanced wrist pin lubrication, recommended for street-driven vehicles to minimize wear and friction. With a special drop-in fitment for the 2.0 FSI engine, these rods measure 144mm center to center with a 20mm tapered wrist pin. They are Magnaflux inspected, dimensionally inspected, and packed in balanced sets with tolerances as tight as .0003. These rods are designed to work with stock pistons and are suitable for builds up to 700+ BHP, with some four-cylinder applications reaching over 800+ BHP.
