Forged Counterweighted Crankshaft, 82mm VW Rod Journals

The CB Performance Forged 4340 Chromoly Counterweighted 82mm Crankshaft (AC1051154) is engineered to elevate the performance of Aircooled VW engines. Crafted from durable 4340 chromoly steel, this crankshaft offers superior strength and reliability for high-performance applications. Key features include 82mm VW rod journals with cross groove oiling holes for improved lubrication, and dynamic balancing along with magnafluxing for optimal performance and integrity. It comes supplied with pre-installed extra-long 8mm flywheel dowels, ensuring a secure connection. The micro-polished bearing journals contribute to smooth engine operation. It is noted that for most crankshaft sizes, some clearancing of the crankcase is required. However, utilizing Chevy diameter connecting rods can mitigate the need for extensive clearancing. In applications with super race cases, no crankcase clearance work may be necessary.
