The K1 Technologies Forged Crankshaft is a premium component engineered specifically for high-stress racing applications in Chevrolet Big Block 454 engines. Constructed from forged 4340 steel, this crankshaft undergoes a nitriding process to significantly enhance its strength and improve bearing longevity. It features large fillet radii to further bolster its structural integrity. Designed with performance in mind, this crankshaft includes a straight hole oiling system, which ensures improved lubrication to the rod bearings and helps prevent failures. The manufacturing process adheres to extremely tight tolerances, with journal clearances held to +/- .0001 inches, guaranteeing consistent and reliable performance. Each crankshaft is also magnetic particle tested to ensure it is free of flaws.
