Forged Dish Piston Set, 4032 Aluminum Alloy

The JE Pistons SRP piston kit, part number 142978, is a high-performance internal engine component designed for Chevrolet Big Block applications. This material choice also ensures reduced piston-to-wall clearance and contributes to a quieter engine operation. Designed for a 4.530" bore, these flat-top pistons feature a -3.00cc volume and a 1.395" compression height. The pistons include accumulator grooves for improved ring seal, a forced pin oiler for enhanced wrist pin lubrication, and CNC-machined domes with radiused valve reliefs to optimize flame travel. This kit comes complete with pin fitting and double spiro locks, as well as 990-2930-15-51S wrist pins. The CNC-machined ring grooves are designed to accept standard 1/16", 1/16", and 3/16" ring sizes, which are sold separately. Several compression ratio options are available depending on cylinder head volume: 9.4:1 for 112cc heads, 9.0:1 for 118cc heads, and 8.7:1 for 124cc heads.
