The Eagle Specialty Products CRS66353D-1 is an H-beam connecting rod designed for high-performance engines. It is constructed from forged, vacuum-degassed, 4340-certified steel for superior strength and reduced weight compared to stock rods. Each rod undergoes a rigorous multi-stage heat treatment, X-ray, sonic, and magnaflux testing, followed by 100 percent machining and shot-peening to relieve internal stresses.

The Eagle Specialty Products CRS66353D-1 H-beam connecting rods are engineered to enhance engine performance and durability. Constructed from a 2-piece forging of vacuum-degassed, 4340-certified steel, these rods offer exceptional strength while being lighter than factory components. The manufacturing process includes multi-stage heat treatment, X-ray, sonic-testing, magnafluxing, and 100 percent machining, culminating in a shot-peened finish to stress-relieve the metal. These H-beam rods feature precision cap alignment sleeves for accurate cap positioning and silicon bronze bushings suitable for floating pin designs. While this specific model is not clearanced for stroker applications, Eagle offers stroker models for increased cam-to-rod clearance in large stroke combinations. The rods are equipped with ARP 8740 rod bolts, rated at 190,000 psi tensile strength, with options for ARP 2000 (230,000 psi) or ARP L-19 (265,000 psi) bolts as upgrades. Torque specifications for the ARP bolts require using ARP moly lube exclusively and torquing to 63 ft-lbs. The CRS66353D-1 has a center-to-center length of 6.635 inches, a Big End Bore Diameter of 2.3250 inches, and a Big End Width of 0.991 inches. The wrist pin diameter is 0.990 inches, with a Pin End Width of 1.125 inches. These rods are magnafluxed and come with a shot-peened finish. Instructions and rod bolt lubrication are included with the purchase.
