The Integrated Engineering IERHVT1 is a set of premium forged H-beam connecting rods engineered to handle the demands of high-performance VW and Audi 2.0T TSI engines. These rods are constructed from vacuum-drawn 4340 Chrome Moly steel, formed using a two-piece forging process for superior fatigue life. The material undergoes a multi-stage heat treatment process to maximize strength, dimensional stability, and overall longevity, ensuring the big ends remain round for trouble-free bearing service. Integrated Engineering pays meticulous attention to detail, including the wrist pin fit and big end side clearance, resulting in an exceptional level of fit and finish. Each rod set is finish machined and honed in the USA to ensure perfectly round and precisely sized big-end bores. The H-beam design is computer-optimized using CAD drafting and FEA analysis to achieve an ideal balance of strength and light weight, making these rods suitable for applications up to 700+ BHP. The connecting rods are fully machined, shot peened, and Magnaflux inspected to guarantee their integrity. They are packed in balanced sets with a weight tolerance of +/- 1 gram. Optional rifle drilling is available to further lubricate the wrist pin and bushing, reducing wear and friction, which is particularly recommended for street-driven vehicles. Key specifications include a 144mm center-to-center length, a 21mm tapered wrist pin, and 3/8" ARP 2000 rod bolts. These rods are designed for a special drop-in fitment for 2.0 TSI applications and are compatible with stock pistons. They are engineered for VW/Audi TSI 2.0T engines found in models such as the Audi A4 B8 (2009-2016), Audi A5 B8 (2008-2016), Audi TT Mk2 (2008-2015), VW CC (2009-2017), and various Golf/GTI Mk5 and Mk6 models.
