Each rod undergoes multi-stage heat-treatment, X-ray, sonic, and magnaflux testing, followed by shot-peening to relieve stress.

The Eagle Specialty Products CRS5400S3D-1 H-beam connecting rods are designed to free your engine's horsepower. They feature a 2-piece construction made from forged, vacuum-degassed, 4340-certified steel, providing superior strength while being lighter than stock rods. Each rod is meticulously processed with multi-stage heat-treatment, X-ray, sonic-testing, and magnaflux inspection. The metal is then shot-peened to relieve stress, ensuring durability and performance. The rods include precision cap alignment sleeves for accurate cap location and silicon bronze bushings for floating pin applications. These connecting rods are available in stroker models, offering additional cam-to-rod clearance for larger stroke combinations. They come standard with ARP 8740 rod bolts rated at 190,000 psi, with options for ARP 2000 (230,000 psi) or ARP L-19 (265,000 psi) bolts as upgrades. Instructions and rod bolt lubrication are included with purchase.
