Description

The ZZPerformance forged 4340 H-beam connecting rods are a robust upgrade for the 3800 engine, designed to handle high-horsepower builds exceeding 1000hp. These rods are significantly lighter than stock components, saving about 1.5 lbs per rod, which contributes to a more responsive rotating assembly. Constructed from durable 4340 steel, these rods are built for extreme performance. They feature a .866-inch wrist pin diameter and are compatible exclusively with L26/L36 style pistons. For proper installation and balance, it is crucial to note that these rods are balanced and require the rotating assembly to be rebalanced due to their reduced weight compared to OEM parts. The recommended torque specification for the 3/8 rod bolts is 55 ft-lbs when using ARP Lube. Standard spec 3800 rod bearings should be used.
