The Procomp Big Brake Kit provides the ultimate in stopping power for your vehicle, with carefully designed features and upgrades available for customization. At the core of this system are lightweight, forged one-piece calipers constructed from a solid billet of aerospace-quality aluminum. This construction eliminates weak spots and ensures even thickness and strength, preventing fracturing, warpage, and failure over time. The calipers feature aluminum pistons protected by heavy-duty seals capable of handling racetrack temperatures, ensuring smooth operation and resistance to corrosion. An opposed-piston design ensures consistent brake pad grip and wear, while high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates are standard. The lightweight center sections are crafted from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, reducing rotational mass for easier stopping and improved brake response. This two-piece design also allows the outer rotor section to expand and contract independently, reducing warping due to heat buildup. Center sections act as effective heat sinks, dissipating heat away from the rotor. Standard equipment includes SC5 Street Pads, offering optimal braking performance for street and occasional track use, with reduced dust, noise, and rotor wear. An upgrade to RCI Race Pads is available for extreme track conditions. The calipers are available in a variety of standard and premium colors, with numerous custom options.
