The Mahle 21bmw155 is a performance pistons-kit engineered for the Mini Cooper S N14 1.6L engine, offering a balance of industry-leading features, OEM fitment, and wear characteristics. These pistons are recommended for high-performance engine builds, providing enhanced strength and longevity. Key features of this Mahle piston set include quiet operation, an ideal compression ratio and dish shape, and a durable forged piston construction. The kit incorporates high-strength German steel wrist pins to support high horsepower applications and utilizes Mahle's proprietary low-expansion 142P alloy. To minimize blow-by and maximize power output, tight ring-to-piston groove clearances are implemented, achieved through hard anodized top ring lands that prevent micro-welding. The Grafal anti-friction skirt coating and oil squirter notches further contribute to engine longevity and performance. Specifications for this pistons-kit include a bore of 77.50 mm, a compression ratio of 10.3, and a pin size of 20 mm.
