Forged Piston Set, 1.6L Engine

The Supertech P4-MA790-N1 is a set of performance pistons designed for the Mazda Miata 1.6L engine from 1990-1993. These pistons are constructed from a 4032 alloy, incorporating copper, nickel, and magnesium for enhanced heat tolerance and wear resistance.

The pistons undergo a multi-step forging process followed by CNC machining and heat treatments to ensure high tensile strength and consistent hardness. Features include contact reduction grooves for reduced friction and precisely honed pin bores. The included wrist pins are made from cold-extruded chrome moly steel and secured with wire clip locks. A phosphate dry lubricant coating is applied for improved lubrication and ring protection.
