The Icon IC742-030 is a set of 8 forged pistons designed for SB Chrysler engines. These pistons feature a dish volume of 9.6cc and a bore size of 4.030 inches. They are constructed from a high-ductile 2618 alloy, formulated and heat-treated for demanding performance applications.

The Icon Pistons IC742-030 set includes eight forged pistons crafted from a high-ductile 2618 alloy. This material is specifically formulated and heat-treated to withstand demanding performance applications, including very high compression ratios, boosted, or nitrous-assisted engines. Each piston features CNC-machined crown and valve reliefs, top land mini groove technology, and skirts machined via unique in-house CNC machines. Designed for SB Chrysler engines, these pistons have a 4.030-inch bore and a 3.580-inch stroke with a 6.123-inch rod length. The dish volume is 9.6cc, contributing to specific compression ratios: 10.6:1 with 60cc heads, 10.0:1 with 65cc heads, and 9.5:1 with 70cc heads. The advertised piston weight is 548 grams, with an 118-gram wrist pin included. The OE deck height is 9.599 inches. Note that the standard bore size is 4.000 inches, and the centered pin requires the LA rod to be narrowed to 1.00 inch. These pistons ship directly from the manufacturer and do not include piston rings; a compatible ring set (IC742KTD) is available separately.
