Constructed from an enhanced 4032 alloy, these pistons provide superior durability with low thermal expansion, excellent wear resistance, and enhanced thermal conductivity. This material choice ensures consistent performance under rigorous conditions. Supertech leverages over 40 years of experience, utilizing advanced CAD software and finite element analysis (FEA) in the design process. The pistons are produced using a 2 or 3-step forging process, creating optimal structural grain orientation for maximum strength. Heat treatments further enhance their properties, resulting in evenly distributed hardness and exceptionally high tensile strength. Each piston undergoes precise machining to ensure dimensional accuracy, especially in the ring grooves, and features honed and reamed pin bores for a perfect fit. This specific set is designed for Honda K20A2 engines, featuring a bore of 86.02mm, a compression ratio of 9:1, and a -6ccm volume. The kit includes pistons, pins, locks, and NPR rings, with a rod length of 139mm and a pin diameter of 22mm. These pistons are suitable for alcohol, nitro, and turbo applications, having demonstrated the ability to withstand up to 42psi of turbo boost with alcohol without issue.
