The Tomei TA202A-TY03E is a performance-oriented forged piston set engineered specifically for the Toyota 2JZ-GTE engine. These pistons utilize a high-strength forging method, exceeding the casting methods common in commercial vehicles, to achieve both reduced weight and exceptional durability under high combustion pressures. The A4032 material and optimized wall thickness contribute to weight reduction without compromising structural integrity. The pistons feature a precisely calculated 3D profile with an oval barrel shape, ensuring smooth movement within the cylinder with optimal clearance. This design accounts for thermal expansion, contributing to efficient operation. The valve recess is engineered to accommodate 1mm oversized valves, offering compatibility for modified cylinder heads. Furthermore, the piston rings are thinned to minimize friction loss, enhancing overall engine efficiency. Each set includes precisely designed pins, clips, and rings. The specifications include a bore of 86.50mm (a 0.5mm increase over OEM), a compression height of 29.50mm (4.5mm less than OEM), a piston volume of -22.6cc, and a piston weight of 271.6g.
