Each kit provides four YCP pistons, along with their associated wrist pins, clips, and a full set of piston rings, ensuring a comprehensive solution for engine builds. These pistons are offered in multiple bore sizes, including 75mm, 75.5mm, and the featured 76mm. Constructed from a robust AC8A cast alloy grade, these pistons are significantly stronger than OEM components. They undergo a T-6 heat treatment to further enhance their durability and strength. The pistons feature a Teflon coating, which serves to extend their lifespan, improve cylinder sealing for reduced blow-by, and minimize friction, ultimately contributing to increased power output. The 19mm floating wristpins are designed to accommodate aftermarket connecting rods for D16 engines. Double oil holes ensure excellent lubrication for the piston pin. Installation requires careful attention to orientation; pistons should be installed with arrows pointing towards the flywheel side of the engine to ensure correct valve pocket alignment and piston pin offset. The manufacturer recommends specific piston-to-wall clearance of 0.0025 inches and ring gap specifications of 0.020" - 0.024" for both the top and second rings, with a minimum of 0.015" for the oil ring gap.
