Forged Stainless Steel Valves

The Ferrea 5000 Series Hi Performance Valve is engineered for performance engine builders seeking a reliable and durable valvetrain component. These valves utilize a one-piece forging process with a slow, two-step method to maintain material integrity. Following forging, each piece is machined to eliminate imperfections, subjected to triple heat treatment and stress-relief, then ground and coated. The valve stem is rolled to remove scale and surface imperfections, and ultrasonic tests and x-rays ensure certified quality. The 5000 Series valves are constructed from stainless steel with a special heat treatment process, hard chrome stems, and hard tips. They are designed to withstand extreme temperature variations encountered in combustion chambers (over 1600°F) and intake manifolds (down to -25°F), offering excellent fatigue resistance. Available in undercut stem and dished head or straight stem and flat head configurations, these valves are suitable for street performance, and mildly modified drag and oval track applications. Many also feature flat combustion chamber faces to enhance compression in naturally aspirated engines.
