The Eagle H-Beam Connecting Rods, part number ZZZ-CRS71003D, are engineered for high-performance applications, boasting a 850 hp and 8,500 rpm rating. These rods are crafted from 2-piece, forged, vacuum-degassed, 4340-certified steel, providing exceptional strength while being lighter than original equipment. The manufacturing process includes multi-stage heat treatment, X-ray inspection, sonic testing, magnafluxing, and 100 percent machining, followed by shot-peening to relieve internal stress. These connecting rods feature precision cap alignment sleeves for accurate cap positioning and silicon bronze bushings for floating pin designs. Stroker models are available, offering enhanced cam-to-rod clearance for combinations with larger strokes. Standard equipment includes ARP 8740 rod bolts with a 190,000 psi tensile strength, with options for ARP 2000 (230,000 psi) or ARP L-19 (265,000 psi) bolts as upgrades. Instructions and specialized rod bolt lubrication are included with each set. Key specifications include a center-to-center length of 7.100 inches, an H-beam design, and a floating wrist pin style with a 0.990-inch bore diameter. The rod journal diameter is 2.200 inches, and the big end bore diameter is 2.3250 inches. The set is weight-matched for balanced engine performance. A note indicates that the engine block may require clearancing for proper installation.
