The Rockford Fosgate P500-12P is a self-contained amplified subwoofer system engineered to deliver powerful bass for a variety of vehicles, including hatchbacks, sedans, and SUVs. This "all-in-one" solution integrates a proprietary 12" high-output subwoofer with a 500-watt Class-D amplifier within a high-output vented enclosure. The enclosure is precision-constructed from 5/8" MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) and finished with heat-activated vinyl for durability. For ease of installation and removal, it features quick-release input and power connectors, along with an intelligent auto turn-on/off circuit that eliminates the need for a separate turn-on wire. The "closed-loop" design ensures optimal performance by matching the woofer, amplifier, and enclosure. This system offers versatile connectivity options, accepting both speaker-level inputs for factory radio integration and traditional line-level inputs for aftermarket head units. Tuning capabilities include a variable 50 Hz to 200 Hz low-pass crossover with a 12dB/octave slope, an adjustable bass boost EQ (0 dB to +12 dB at 45 Hz), and an onboard 0°/180° phase switch. Fine-tuning the bass level from the driver's seat is made simple with the included Remote Punch Level Control. The P500-12P is CEA-2006 compliant for amplifier power ratings, ensuring it meets industry standards. It also includes thermal and over/under voltage protection.
