FOX 2.0 Rear IFP Shock Absorber

The BDS Suspension FOX98224974 is a rear shock absorber engineered to enhance both on-road comfort and off-road control for specific Jeep models equipped with a BDS 6-inch lift suspension kit. This shock absorber utilizes a mono-tube design with an internal floating piston (IFP). This IFP design effectively separates the shock oil from the high-pressure, nitrogen-charged gas chamber, preventing oil aeration and ensuring consistent performance. The shock features application-specific valving, custom-tuned by FOX and BDS, to perfectly complement BDS Suspension systems, providing fade-free performance even in rough conditions. Constructed with a 2-inch impact-extruded and CNC-machined 6061-T6 clear anodized aluminum body, this shock is designed to resist rust over time. It incorporates a 5/8-inch hard chrome-plated, heat-treated alloy steel shaft and a race-developed high-flow piston design. The BDS Suspension FOX98224974 is specifically designed to fit the 1984-2001 Jeep Cherokee XJ (all 2WD/4WD Diesel/Gas models) and the 1997-2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ / 2004-2006 Wrangler LJ (all 2WD/4WD Diesel/Gas models).
