FOX 2" Rear Shock Absorber

The BDS Suspension FOX98224980 is a rear shock absorber engineered to enhance both on-road comfort and off-road control for specific Jeep models. It utilizes a FOX Performance Series 2.0 IFP (internal floating piston) design, which features a mono-tube construction. The internal reservoir effectively separates the shock oil from the high-pressure, nitrogen-charged gas chamber. This separation is crucial as it prevents oil aeration, allowing the factory-tuned precision valving to deliver maximum performance. Developed through a partnership between FOX and BDS Suspension, each application is custom-valved to ensure optimal compatibility with BDS Suspension systems. Construction highlights include a durable 2-inch impact-extruded and CNC-machined 6061-T6 clear anodized aluminum body that resists rust over time. The shock shaft is made from 5/8-inch hard chrome-plated, heat-treated alloy steel, designed for longevity. It also incorporates a race-developed, high-flow piston design for improved responsiveness. This shock absorber is specifically designed for the 1984-2001 Jeep Cherokee XJ and the 1997-2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ/LJ. It is intended to fit a BDS 3-inch lift suspension kit. Please note that mounting hardware is not included with this shock absorber.
