The BDS Suspension FOX98224821 is a FOX Performance Series 2.0 IFP rear shock engineered to enhance both on-road comfort and off-road control for your 2019-2023 Ford Ranger 4WD, specifically when used with a BDS 6-inch lift suspension kit. This shock boasts a mono-tube design with an internal floating piston (IFP) that effectively separates the shock oil from the high-pressure, nitrogen-charged gas chamber. This crucial separation eliminates oil aeration, ensuring consistent, fade-free performance even under demanding conditions. FOX and BDS collaborated to custom-tune the valving for each specific application, ensuring perfect integration with BDS Suspension systems. The 2-inch body is impact-extruded and CNC-machined from 6061-T6 clear anodized aluminum for superior rust resistance, complemented by a durable 5/8-inch hard chrome-plated, heat-treated alloy steel shaft. Key specifications include an eyelet lower mount, an s50 upper mount, and gas charging. It is not adjustable and does not feature adjustable dampening. The shock has a compressed length of 14.64 inches and a travel length of 6.68 inches, with a 5/8-inch shaft diameter. This rear shock is compatible with 2019-2021 Ford Ranger 4WD models, including both Diesel and Gas engine variants.
