The HPA FR500 IS38 Hybrid Turbo is a direct bolt-on replacement turbocharger designed for enhanced performance and reliability. It features a custom compressor and turbine wheel design that supports up to 500 horsepower.

This turbo upgrade features a redesigned bearing housing to prevent premature failure caused by restricted oil flow during spirited driving. It includes a proprietary mixed-flow turbine wheel and a CNC-machined billet compressor wheel. The CHRA is built to OEM quality specifications and balanced using high-precision equipment for a perfect assembly.

The HPA FR500 IS38 Hybrid Turbo represents a significant performance and reliability upgrade for compatible 2.0T MQB platform vehicles. This turbocharger is engineered to overcome the limitations of OEM IS38, IS20, and IS12 units, which can struggle to provide sufficient airflow at higher RPMs. Precision engineered over four years of research and development, the HPA IS38 Hybrid features a completely rethought bearing housing design aimed at ensuring optimal lubrication and preventing failures common in stock turbos under sporty driving conditions. It incorporates an HPA proprietary mixed-flow turbine wheel and a CNC-machined billet compressor wheel, with both intake and exhaust housings precisely CNC machined. The CHRA components are balanced to exceed OEM quality specifications for dependable performance and longevity. The upgrade includes essential components such as an OEM diverter valve, OEM wastegate actuator, turbo inlet pipe, and a silicone hose to adapt to the factory airbox, simplifying the integration process. Key specifications include a compressor size of 54mm/75mm and a turbine size of 63mm/56mm. The HPA FR500 IS38 Hybrid Turbo supports up to 500 horsepower, dependent on fuel and tuning. It is compatible with a range of vehicles including the 2015+ GTI, 2015+ Golf R, 2015+ Audi A3 2.0T (8V), 2015+ Audi S3 (8V), 2014+ Audi TT 2.0T, and 2014+ Audi TTS 2.0T.
