The G Force GF-FE100 is a frame extension kit designed for select 1978-1983 GM G-Body vehicles. It replicates the longer driver's side frame rail found on GM vehicles produced after 1984. Mounting hardware is included.

The G Force GF-FE100 is a frame extension kit specifically designed for 1978-1983 GM G-Body models, including the Malibu, Monte Carlo, El Camino, Cutlass, Grand Prix, Regal, Century, LeMans, Caballero, and Bonneville. This extension is crucial for replicating the longer driver's side frame rail that became standard on GM vehicles from 1984 onwards, enabling the proper installation of certain transmissions and crossmembers. This kit is essential for installing specific crossmembers such as the RCG-400, RCG-T56, and RCG-4L80E. It can also be packaged with some crossmember kits, like the RCG-400K. G Force also offers a lighter weight version of their popular crossmembers, with an available extension kit, the RCGNG-400KBLK. Some exceptions apply to fitment. Certain 1983 Hurst Olds models originally equipped with the 2004R transmission may not require the GF-FE100. Additionally, some 1984 El Caminos retained the earlier frame style and will need this frame extension for longer transmissions. To determine if your 1984 El Camino requires the GF-FE100, visually inspect the driver's side frame rail. If there is only one set of crossmember holes positioned near the door hinge, it is an early frame and needs the GF-FE100. If there are two sets of holes, it is a late frame and does not require the extension. Mounting hardware is included with the GF-FE100. Specifications for the GF-FE100 include a weight of 7 lbs and shipping dimensions of 18 x 4 x 2 inches.
