Frame Rail Reinforcement Kit v2.0

The Flyin Miata frame rail reinforcement kit v2.0 is engineered to dramatically increase chassis rigidity in your Miata, providing a more solid platform for your suspension. A stiffer chassis reduces unwanted flex, leading to improved handling predictability, a better ride quality, and allows your suspension components to perform optimally. When tested on a 2002 Miata, this kit improved chassis stiffness by 17.5% without affecting ground clearance. Constructed from 14 gauge stainless steel, these frame rails are designed for durability and corrosion resistance, and are strong enough to serve as jacking points. This version 2.0 features Flyin' Miata cutouts on the sides for reduced weight and enhanced compatibility with both current and older generations of their butterfly brace. The kit includes stainless steel fasteners. Installation requires no welding but involves drilling 24 holes into the car's chassis. This kit fits all 1990-2000 Miatas, as well as 2001-2002 models without Sport bracing. For Sport models and 2003-2005 Miatas, one factory cross bar may need to be removed or modified slightly for fitment. If your factory frame rails are damaged or bent, they may require reshaping with a hammer to ensure a proper fit for these reinforcements. Some customers have reported needing significant 'massaging' or using tools like a rivet gun to get the rails to fit over damaged factory rails.
