Frame Rail Reinforcement Kit v2.0

The Flyin' Miata frame rail reinforcement kit v2.0 is engineered to dramatically enhance chassis rigidity, allowing your Miata's suspension to perform optimally. A stiffer chassis acts as a more stable platform, reducing flex that can alter suspension geometry and compromise handling. When tested on a 2002 Miata, these reinforcements resulted in a 17.5% improvement in chassis stiffness. Constructed from 14 gauge stainless steel, both the rails and fasteners are designed for long-term corrosion resistance. The kit adds only 13.5 lbs to the vehicle and does not affect ground clearance. These reinforcements also serve as robust jacking points. Version 2.0 features specific cutouts for improved compatibility with various Flyin' Miata butterfly braces. Installation requires no welding but involves drilling 24 holes. The kit fits all 1990-2000 Miatas, as well as 2001-2002 models without Sport bracing. For Sport models and 2003-2005 Miatas, one factory cross bar must be removed, though it can be retained with modification. It is noted that damaged factory frame rails may require reshaping with a hammer for proper fitment, as some customers have reported extensive modifications and fitment issues if the original rails are compromised. While designed primarily for Miatas, the rails have a cross-section that can fit non-Miata vehicles if their frame rails are no larger than 2.65" x 1.875". The longest dimension of the rails is 43".
