Description

The Xantrex Battery Temperature Sensor (BTS) is a replacement sensor designed for the Freedom 458 Inverter/Charger series. It connects to the positive battery post with a ring terminal and plugs into the TSC jack on the front of the inverter/charger via its RJ11 cable. The 15-foot cable allows for proper routing. This sensor enables temperature-compensated charging, adjusting the charge voltage based on battery temperature to minimize water loss in wet cell batteries and optimize the battery life cycle.
