The Clayton Off Road Front 3-Piece Cross Member is engineered to bolster the structural integrity of your 1993-1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee ZJ. Its modular 3-piece design facilitates precise alignment and provides robust support. A key feature is the removable center section, which allows for easier access during drivetrain servicing and maintenance. The design also incorporates mounting locations for long arms and a pocket design for enhanced strength and protection of a 2.5" forged Johnny joint, utilizing a 4" 9/16s grade 8 bolt. Installation is described as straightforward, involving bolting into the OE location for alignment, followed by welding. The removable center section aids in the installation process and subsequent maintenance. While the product is designed for the 1993-1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee ZJ, it's important to note that welding is a mandatory step before attaching control arms to ensure the component's full strength and stability.
