The BimmerWorld 6-line stainless steel brake line kit is a DOT-approved upgrade for E39 525i, 528i, 530i, 540i, and M5 models.

This kit replaces all rubber brake lines with Teflon and braided stainless steel. It includes two lines for the ABS/DSC pump in the engine bay, along with front and rear caliper lines. The Teflon center core and braided stainless steel construction enhance durability and abrasion resistance, while a clear plastic sheathing protects the braids and allows for visual inspection.

The K-Sport brake line kit offers a significant upgrade over standard rubber brake hoses, replacing them with durable Teflon and braided stainless steel lines. This comprehensive kit is DOT-approved and includes all necessary lines for the front and rear calipers, as well as the two crucial lines connecting to the ABS/DSC pump in the engine bay. These lines are equipped with heat-reflecting insulation to protect them from engine bay temperatures. Stock rubber brake hoses are known to expand under hydraulic pressure, leading to increased pedal travel and a less responsive braking system. This expansion can sometimes be mistaken for brake fade or boiling fluid. By utilizing a non-expansive Teflon center core surrounded by braided stainless steel, K-Sport's brake lines minimize this expansion, resulting in a firmer pedal, improved modulation, and a more direct connection to the braking system. The outer sheathing is clear, allowing for easy visual inspection of the lines for wear or heat damage. Exceeding DOT standards for both extended and short burst pressures (4,000 and 5,000 psi respectively), these lines are built for performance and reliability. The brand recommends inspecting all brake components regularly and replacing lines every 100 hours of track use or every 2-4 years to ensure safety. It is also advised never to let the brake caliper hang solely from the brake line during maintenance.
