DBA offers either ceramic or semi-metallic friction formulations for the DB1828SS pads, selected based on the specific application and performance requirements. The ceramic formulation is noted for being copper-free and NSFI certified, contributing to low dust emissions and cleaner wheels. The pads also feature an OE-style post-cured process for consistent braking performance throughout their lifespan, application-specific NVH shims, slots, and chamfers to minimize vibration and noise, and a high-friction stripe for easier bedding-in. These Street Series brake pads are recommended for everyday use in passenger cars, SUVs, and light commercial vehicles. For optimal performance, DBA suggests pairing them with their Street Series plain or T2 slotted disc rotors. The compatibility list for the DB1828SS includes various Jeep Cherokee models from 2001 to 2008, specifically: Diesel 2.8 CRD 4x4 KJ (120KW and 110KW variations), Petrol 2.4 4x4 KJ (108KW), Petrol 3.7 4x4 KJ (155KW and 150KW variations), and Diesel 2.5 CRD 4x4 KJ (105KW).
