The Volkswagen front caliper carrier (part number 1J0615125A) is a Genuine OEM component designed to facilitate a brake upgrade. This carrier enables the fitment of larger 312mm brake rotors, offering an improvement over the standard 288mm rotors. By repositioning the caliper away from the hub's center, it accommodates the increased rotor diameter. This part is a direct swap for the Audi TT Mk1 and is also compatible with certain Volkswagen Golf/GTI Mk4 models. It is priced individually, and two carriers are required for complete front brake replacement on both sides. The carrier itself is a critical component for ensuring proper caliper alignment and function with larger brake rotors.
