Overview

The UMI Performance 2048-X is a front coilover kit designed for 1993-2002 GM F-Body vehicles. This kit allows for the installation of a 2-1/2" racing coilover spring and shock. It features a double shear upper mount that replaces the factory rubber mount, finished in a durable black powder coat. The kit is a 100% bolt-in design and offers a 1-3" lowering capability.

The UMI Performance 2048-X front coilover kit is engineered for 1993-2002 GM F-Body models, including the Chevrolet Camaro and Pontiac Firebird. This kit facilitates the fitment of a 2-1/2" racing coilover spring and shock system. Compatible with Viking double adjustable coilover-specific shocks, this kit offers a choice of four spring rates: 300, 350, 450, and 550 lb-in, catering to different driving styles. The included Viking shocks are equipped with upper and lower bearings for improved response and reliability. This system enables a front lowering adjustment of 1-3 inches without requiring permanent modifications to the chassis or upper spring mount. While not strictly necessary for installation, UMI highly recommends purchasing the Spanner Wrench & Thrust Bearing Kit for easier height adjustments; adjusting the ride height on the vehicle without this kit is not advised. The construction utilizes 3/16" steel plating, CNC laser-cut brackets, and precision welds, with all components designed, tested, and manufactured in Philipsburg, PA, USA.
