Front Control Arm Bushing

The Powerflex PFF19-1802G is a high-performance front control arm bushing engineered for the Ford Focus Mk3, including ST models produced from 2011 onwards. This component features a CNC-machined aluminum mount paired with a durable polyurethane bushing, offering a significant upgrade over stock rubber components. This bushing provides 1 degree of positive caster offset and 7.5mm of anti-lift properties. By altering the steering geometry, it actively works to prevent the front of the vehicle from lifting during acceleration, a common issue that can lead to torque steer and wheel hop in performance models like the Focus RS and ST. This results in improved traction and enhanced cornering grip when power is applied. Additionally, the added static caster offset increases in-corner camber gain, optimizing the tire-to-tarmac contact for greater grip and a reduction in understeer. The increased caster angle also contributes to a more substantial feel in the steering, providing better feedback and improving straight-line stability for increased driver confidence. It is important to note that this bushing will not fit later C-Max and Mk3 Focus models that utilize aluminum front wishbones.
