The ALTA Performance Positive Steering Response System (PSRS) is an upgrade for your MINI's front control arms. It replaces the stock rubber bushings with high-performance urethane, which significantly improves handling and stability. The stiffer design reduces suspension misalignment, leading to more consistent and predictable handling during both everyday driving and aggressive maneuvers. The PSRS offers several benefits, including sharper braking feel and reduced wandering. It also improves front traction during acceleration, minimizing wheel hop. A key feature is the offset center pivot, which allows for up to 1.5 degrees of added caster. This enhancement contributes to improved straight-line stability and can reduce highway wandering, especially noticeable on rutted pavement or with wider tires. The added caster improves handling without a significant increase in steering effort. The ALTA PSRS provides a long-lasting solution for enhanced vehicle performance. The system includes two ALTA PSRS units, hardware for installation, and warranty/instruction materials. The estimated DIY installation time is 240 minutes, and the product comes with a 5-year warranty. Note that the offset design will push the front wheels forward on the car by approximately 0.350 inches.
