Overview

The Ironman 4x4 BRACKET100 is a front control arm reinforcement designed to address cracking issues on Landcruiser 100 Series IFS models. These cracks occur around the area where the Torsion Bar torque arms bolt to the lower control arm, due to high torque and impact loadings.

The reinforcing bracket is a folded plate that, when bolted on, strengthens the lower control arm. Ironman 4x4 recommends fitting this brace on all 100 series IFS vehicles, regardless of aftermarket components.

The Ironman 4x4 BRACKET100 is a reinforcement bracket engineered to solve a common issue on Toyota Landcruiser 100 Series Independent Front Suspension (IFS) models: cracking of the lower control arm. This damage typically occurs near the Torsion Bar torque arm mounting points, a result of the significant torque and impact loads transmitted through the torsion bars and into the control arm. Constructed as a folded plate, the BRACKET100 is designed to be bolted directly onto the lower control arm. This reinforcement significantly strengthens the affected area, providing a robust solution to prevent or mitigate cracking. Ironman 4x4 advises that this Torsion Bar Strengthening Brace should be fitted to all 100 series IFS vehicles, even those without aftermarket modifications, as a preventative measure. Compatibility is specifically for the Toyota Landcruiser 100 Series IFS models from 1998 onwards. Each bracket is sold individually, with one unit required per vehicle.
