The Wisefab Front Drift Angle Lock Kit is engineered to significantly enhance the handling and steering capabilities of the 2003-2008 Nissan 350Z for performance driving, especially drifting. This comprehensive kit replaces key front suspension components with specially designed control arms, knuckles, and tie rods, unlocking an increased steering angle of up to 65 degrees. It features a one-piece lower control arm design for superior stiffness and packaging, crucial for high steering angles. The Wisefab knuckles are designed with dropped joints to raise the front roll center on lowered vehicles, thereby increasing roll stiffness and potentially allowing the removal of the front anti-roll bar, which can be difficult to fit with extreme lock angles. The kit provides excellent dynamic camber control and minimal bump steer across the entire steering range, ensuring consistent front grip during high-angle maneuvers. It also addresses steering jacking, a common issue in drifting with large steering angles, by altering the geometry to maintain stable handling. The self-alignment torque is made consistent and predictable, ensuring the steering wheel always returns to center and does not get stuck at full lock. Installation details include a designed ride height of approximately 80mm from the front subframe to the ground, and the kit assumes coilovers with adequate clearance. It requires a minimum 17-inch rim diameter and recommends a specific backspacing of ~135mm. Wider fenders or fender flares may be necessary depending on rim width and offset.
