Front Driveshaft

The ZDS9450 is a new front driveshaft, manufactured by USA Standard Gear, designed as a direct replacement for specific Ford Explorer and Mountaineer models. This driveshaft is constructed entirely new, not remanufactured, ensuring durability and longevity for decades of everyday use. It arrives fully assembled and lubricated with high-temperature grease for a straightforward, out-of-the-box installation. Key specifications include a 22-3/4 inch tube length (measured weld to weld), a 1310 universal joint at the differential, and a 6-bolt CV head with a 104mm (4.094 inch) pilot diameter. All components, including universal joints and slip yokes, are new to guarantee a long service life. The driveshaft is dynamically balanced at over 3,000 RPMs to ensure vibration-free driving and is strengthened compared to common OE shafts to prevent failures. The USA Standard “Perfect Fit” designation guarantees proper fitment and an easy installation process. This front driveshaft is specifically designed for the '98 Explorer & Mountaineer, particularly those equipped with the 5.0L engine, and features a 23" weld to weld length.
