Overview

The UMI Performance FBS002-R is a front end kit for 1998-2002 GM F-Body vehicles. It combines weight reduction and strength with performance and comfort for street use and drag strip duty.

The kit features a dual tube k-member, tubular street lower A-arms with poly bushings, and tubular street upper A-arms with greaseable poly bushings. It is constructed from USA DOM tubing and includes premium ball joints.

The UMI Performance FBS002-R is a Street-Stage 2 front end kit engineered for 1998-2002 GM F-Body vehicles, including the Chevrolet Camaro and Pontiac Firebird. At its core is UMI's dual tube k-member, noted as one of the strongest in its class, capable of withstanding significant abuse while also shaving weight and protecting the oil pan. The kit includes tubular lower A-arms (P/N 2305) featuring poly bushings to absorb road noise and non-adjustable upper A-arms (P/N 2311) that guide the suspension on greaseable poly bushings. Both the upper and lower A-arms are pre-assembled with premium ball joints and contribute to an overall weight saving of 8 lbs over stock components. The k-member and A-arms are constructed from durable USA DOM tubing, precision bent, CNC notched, and welded in a jig for maximum integrity. This Stage 2 kit is designed as a direct bolt-in replacement, requiring no welding, and is compatible with factory, polyurethane, or UMI's solid billet aluminum motor mounts. It aims to reduce front-end weight while maintaining street comfort and enhancing overall performance. The kit also includes Grade 10.9 hardware with Ny-lock nuts for secure assembly. The UMI Performance FBS002-R is proudly manufactured in Philipsburg, PA, USA, using North American raw materials and finished with a durable powder coat.
