Front Mount Intercooler

A key component of this intercooler system is the included COBB Thrust Tunnel, constructed from wrinkle black powder-coated aluminum. This tunnel attaches to the factory hood ducting, optimizing airflow directly through the intercooler core. The intercooler measures 20" x 7" x 4" and is a direct replacement for the OEM unit. Performance benefits include a 30% increase in airflow over the stock intercooler and improved, more consistent power delivery by reducing charge air temperatures. This top mount design is ideal for applications seeking enhanced airflow and cooling without the increased lag associated with front-mounted intercoolers. Importantly, tuning changes are not required to support this intercooler, making it compatible with either the stock Subaru calibration or COBB Stage 1 Off The Shelf (OTS) maps. This intercooler is 50-state legal, bearing CARB Executive Order numbers D-660-119, D-660-154, D-660-188, D-660-244, and D-660-309. It is confirmed to fit 2022-2026 Subaru WRX models, including sedan and sportswagon variants with both CVT and manual transmissions.
