The Extreme Turbo Systems (ETS) Front Mount Intercooler is engineered as a premium performance upgrade for the 2022 and newer Subaru WRX. Designed with extensive customer feedback, this intercooler sets a high standard for quality and efficiency in the aftermarket. Key features include an "Unmatched Cooling Efficiency" with a stepped core design that maximizes frontal surface area and volume, providing over 300% more capacity than the stock unit. This translates to superior heat dissipation and consistent engine performance during spirited driving or track use. The intercooler's dimensions (7.0" core thickness and 13.50" height) allow it to fit seamlessly behind the factory crash beam and bumper cover, maintaining an OEM appearance without requiring modifications. ETS has also redesigned the windshield washer filler neck for improved charge pipe routing, featuring a billet connection and a matching wrinkle-black billet cap. The V2 throttle body connection utilizes a billet adapter with double O-rings to ensure a reliable, leak-free seal under high boost conditions. Anodizing options include Black (with UV protection), Red, Blue, Gold, and Purple, though only Black offers UV protection against fading. Piping options are available to suit different performance goals: the 2.5" piping is recommended for quicker spool and street drivability, supporting up to 750whp, while the 3.0" piping is designed for builds exceeding 750whp to maximize airflow. The ambient temp sensor has been relocated for more accurate readings, and each intercooler is pressure tested to over 50 psi for guaranteed leak-free performance. An optional ETS stencil adds an aggressive aesthetic. This intercooler is specifically designed for the 2022-2025 Subaru WRX. Owners with CVT transmissions may need to relocate their CVT cooler to the front of the intercooler.
