Front Mount Intercooler

The Steeda Fusion Intercooler is a modular, high-efficiency front-mount intercooler (FMIC) engineered for 1.6L and 2.0L EcoBoost Ford Fusion vehicles. Designed to replace the restrictive factory plastic unit, this intercooler features an aluminum bar-and-plate core measuring 28" x 7" x 3.5". Its lightweight 15-pound construction and CFD-designed end tanks offer more than 200% of the volume of the OE component, providing greater heat dissipation to reduce internal engine temperatures and the risk of detonation during spirited driving or under high boost. To ensure wide compatibility, the intercooler features cast mounting bosses on both ends and a CNC-machined billet block-off plug, allowing it to adapt to different factory temperature sensor configurations. The design maintains compatibility with the factory active grille shutters for a seamless integration. While installation follows a direct-fit process, note that slight modification is necessary for installation on 2020 models.
