Description

The Steeda front mount intercooler is an aluminum performance upgrade engineered for 1.6L and 2.0L EcoBoost-powered Fusions. It addresses the thermal limitations of the factory plastic intercooler, which can become taxed during spirited driving or under increased boost levels. By providing over 200% more volume than the OE unit and utilizing CFD-designed free-flowing end tanks, this cooler helps reduce intake air temperatures, which can support higher horsepower and potentially extend engine life by reducing detonation risks. This modular design weighs approximately 15 pounds and incorporates cast mounting bosses at both ends, along with a CNC-machined billet block-off plug, to accommodate temperature sensor placement variations across different engine configurations. The unit maintains compatibility with factory active grille shutters. Please note that while this intercooler fits earlier models, it may be fitted on 2020 models only if slight modifications are performed.
