The COBB Tuning Front Mount Intercooler (FMIC) provides an effective solution for inconsistent power delivery in the Mazdaspeed3, addressing the limitations of the factory top-mount intercooler which can easily overheat and cause power loss due to rising intake air temperatures. This FMIC features a substantial 24-inch x 3.5-inch x 7.9-inch bar and plate aluminum core, designed to ensure your engine receives the coolest possible charge air, thereby unlocking more power. The kit includes 2.5-inch diameter aluminum charge tubes, finished in a durable wrinkle black powder coat. These are paired with 5-ply silicone couplers and T-bolt clamps, facilitating a simple and direct installation. The design prioritizes improved clearance for frame rails, the bumper beam, and oil lines, minimizing the need for vehicle modification. For an optimized setup, the COBB Tuning FMIC for the Mazdaspeed3 integrates seamlessly with the COBB Tuning SF Intake System and Turbo Inlet Tube, creating a complete COBB Tuning Intake Package. Additionally, all COBB Tuning intercooler kits for the Mazdaspeed3 now come with a COBB Tuning lightened shifter weight, contributing to improved fitment and a more precise shifting feel. The product is CARB EO D-660-87 compliant, making it legal for sale and use on emissions-controlled vehicles in all 50 states.
