The Perrin Front Mount Intercooler Kit provides a substantial performance upgrade over the factory tube and fin design by delivering efficient air cooling and reduced pressure drop. The kit features a 28” x 9.25” x 3.5” bar and plate style core, finished in a durable black powder coat to resist corrosion. The included boxed steel support beam replaces the factory bumper beam for added security, while the cast aluminum end tanks are engineered with a smooth, gradual taper to eliminate turbulence and improve air dispersal across the core. The system utilizes CNC-machined aluminum boost tubing with oversized beaded ends to ensure secure connections for the included silicone couplers and T-bolt clamps. The kit also integrates a custom coolant overflow tank that offers increased capacity and better clearance for optimized boost tube routing, while utilizing the original factory cap for a reliable seal. Compatibility is specific to 2002-2005 and 2006-2007 Subaru Impreza WRX and WRX STI models. Note that installation on 2002-2005 models requires the deletion of factory fog lights.
