Overview

The Forge Motorsport intercooler is an upgrade designed for the Audi A4 2.0T Petrol (B8 models) and A5 2.0T models. It features a tube and fin construction with increased surface area and dimensions to enhance cooling ability and reduce pressure loss compared to the stock intercooler. Extensive testing on the road and dyno demonstrated a reduction in inlet temperature and an increase in horsepower and torque without negatively affecting lag or spool-up time. Hoses are available in red, blue, or black.

The Forge Motorsport intercooler is a front mounting kit specifically designed as an upgrade for the Audi 2.0 TFSi (B8 models) and A5 2.0 TFSi. Through extensive testing, Forge determined that a tube and fin construction, combined with an increased surface area and overall dimensions, offered the most efficient core design for these models. This design enhances cooling ability and reduces pressure loss compared to the stock intercooler. On-road and dyno testing confirmed the effectiveness of this kit, demonstrating a reduction in inlet temperatures and an increase in both horsepower and torque, with no negative impact on lag or spool-up time. Dyno results showed a respectable +12hp and +28 ft-lbs gain on a standard tuned engine, with further benefits realized when software tuned. The kit includes Forge silicone hoses, engineered with a Flurosilicone inner liner. This specialized liner makes the hoses suitable for modern coolants, including Organic Acid Technology (O.A.T.), and oil mist, ensuring longevity and durability. The hoses are available in black. While primarily designed for the specified Audi models, the 'Compatible Vehicles' section indicates fitment for Audi A4 (B7) 2004-2008 1.8/2.0 TFSI and Audi A4 (B8/B8.5) 2008-2016 1.8/2.0 TFSI, and A5 2.0 TFSi.
