The GrimmSpeed Front Mount Intercooler Kit, featuring a black-coated aluminum core and black powder-coated aluminum charge pipes, is engineered for the 2008-2014 Subaru WRX and STI models. By relocating the intercooler to the front of the radiator, it leverages the coolest, most abundant airflow, which is crucial for performance builds targeting significant power increases. This setup is superior to a heat-soaked top-mount intercooler, offering more predictable boost, sharper throttle response, and sustained power output.
