The Treadstone FMICMS3 is a front-mounted intercooler kit specifically engineered for the Mazdaspeed3, offering a "best bang for your buck" setup. This kit integrates a TR8 intercooler with a core size of 7.8'' X 22'' X 3.5'' and an overall length of 35''. The system includes 2.5-inch mandrel-bent aluminum piping, finished with a durable wrinkle black powder coat for both aesthetics and longevity. Additionally, the kit provides an optional meth bung port positioned just before the throttle body, alongside a standard OEM diverter valve mounting flange. Installation on the Mazdaspeed3 can be tight, particularly in the space between the engine and the front of the car, as noted in installation guides. This intercooler is suitable for various turbocharged 4-cylinder applications, rated for up to 500 horsepower, making it an efficient upgrade for performance-oriented vehicles.
