The TrakMotive FD-8004XTT is an Extended Travel CV Axle Shaft designed for the front right position of your Ford Explorer. This axle assembly provides significantly increased capability over stock, with a sliding center bar that allows for up to 44mm more travel and CV joints capable of up to a 47-degree articulation angle, compared to the typical 23 degrees of an OE joint. This extended travel design is beneficial for both lifted and stock suspensions, making it suitable for on-road and off-road use. The construction features a durable thermoplastic outboard joint boot for longevity. It is recommended to inspect the intermediate shaft for damage and replace it if necessary when installing this CV axle. For optimal performance and to ensure full system integrity, it is always advised to replace CV axles in pairs. This premium-grade axle assembly fits the 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, and 2001 Ford Explorer models, specifically for AWD and 4WD sub-models. The necessary axle nut is included, and it features a 32mm socket size.
