The TrakMotive FD-8004XTT is an Extended Travel CV Axle Shaft designed for the front right position of your Ford Explorer. This axle assembly provides significantly increased capability over stock, with a sliding center bar that allows for up to 44mm more travel and CV joints capable of up to a 47-degree articulation angle, compared to the typical 23 degrees of an OE joint. This extended travel design is beneficial for both lifted and stock suspensions, making it suitable for on-road and off-road use. The construction features a durable thermoplastic outboard joint boot for longevity. It is recommended to inspect the intermediate shaft for damage and replace it if necessary when installing this CV axle.
