The BMW Genuine Parts 31312283104 is a direct replacement front right strut assembly for the BMW E46 M3 coupe and convertible models from 2001 to 2006. Manufactured by Sachs, an original equipment supplier to BMW, this strut is designed to replicate the original ride comfort and handling characteristics of your M3. It meets all of BMW's stringent design, fitment, and performance standards and is TUV approved, providing an OEM quality part at a more accessible price point than dealership parts. This strut assembly is specific to the E46 M3 and is offered for model years 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2006. It is sold individually, but it is highly recommended to replace front struts in pairs to ensure balanced performance and handling. Additional components such as new mounts, dust boots, spring pads, and bump stops are sold separately and should be considered for a complete suspension overhaul. While this strut is ideal for restoring original ride and handling, it is not recommended for vehicles with shorter springs installed. The product replaces several original BMW part numbers, including 31312283104, 31312282476, 31312282215, 31312229840, and 31312282265.
