The BDS Suspension BDS85610 NX2 Nitro Series front shock absorber is engineered to upgrade the performance of 1983-2005 Chevy S10 and GMC S150 4WD models, particularly when used with a 5-inch lift kit. This shock absorber utilizes a robust twin-tube construction, filled with pressurized nitrogen, and incorporates a 10-stage velocity-sensitive valving system. This advanced valving allows the shock to quickly adapt its dampening characteristics to varying terrain, whether on or off-road, ensuring improved control. Constructed with a 2-inch body, the BDS85610 features a substantial 1-3/8-inch fluon-banded piston, complemented by self-lubricating seals and a 14mm hardened chrome shaft. This robust shaft design helps to resist damage from rock chips and corrosion, enhancing durability. For ease of installation, the shocks come with polyurethane bushings and metal sleeves, facilitating a straightforward swap from stock components. The finish is a durable metallic silver with distinctive NX2 decals. These shocks are designed with vehicle-specific valving to optimize performance and control for the intended applications. They are compatible with all current BDS lift kits and are offered in various stem and eyelet bushing configurations for custom setups. The extended length is 22.95 inches, and the compressed length is 14.67 inches, with a travel length of 8.28 inches. Mounting hardware is not included.
